ABOUT

This key message of the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) UAE Presidency, of which our partnerships team is playing a central role, is about fostering collaboration. The team brings together organizations, corporations, and communities to generate a lasting impact on the climate change agenda.

LET’S GET TO WORK. TOGETHER.

Our partnerships team has a track record in building strong relationships that have led to action-focused projects that are developing new ways to reduce emissions. In a world where collaboration across sectors and communities is essential, game-changing partnerships make all the difference.

GLOBAL AND LOCAL SOLUTIONS

Launching initiatives in energy, finance, technology, food security, biodiversity and nature-based solutions, the COP28 UAE’s partnerships team has successfully sought cooperation on a global and local scale. Highlights include the launch of the University Climate Network that encourages young people and academics at UAE higher education institutions to get involved in carbon neutrality research and other actions to cut greenhouse gases. They participated in the Spring 2023 Meetings of the World Bank in Washington DC in April and attended the 146th IPU Assembly in Bahrain, where more than 2000 parliamentarians from around 140 nations visited. The COP28 stand was designed to inform people about the conference’s goals and ambitions.
